OSCARcanada's first fundraising campaign is launched!
Dear OSCAR Users
Things are booming for OSCAR. Our user base has doubled in the last 6 months and OSCAR just keeps getting better.
The feeling of community that comes from building something for each other and making a contribution to better care for our patients is all part of the fulfillment and excitement of being a part of the OSCAR community . . .
Taking the concept of contribution one step further, at our most recent OSCAR users group meeting it was unanimously voted that OSCAR Canada Users Society make an annual request from members/users for a voluntary financial contribution.
These funds would be used to finance things like:
Software development priorities from the collectively developed wish list
Further development of this OSCAR Canada web site
The priorities for 2009 for software development as identified by the users are:
- Changes to billing module and WCB (with an emphasis on improving the BC billing functions)
- Improvements to the prescription module
- Changes to the encounter page (separate boxes for med, surg, social and fam history etc)
- Improvements to the allergy module
- INR flow sheet
- Customizable CDM flow sheets and new CDM flow sheets for other diseases
In order to proceed with these improvements, the community needs to raise funds for the cost of programming.
Everyone has something different to contribute to this collective project, and we hope that all will consider making a voluntary financial contribution. Three hundred dollars was the amount agreed upon at our recent meeting, but any contribution will be gratefully received.
