Ontario Billing Module deletion of previous billing preference
This preference function
Background
When using the Ontario billing module, once the billing is completed, if you click on 'B' for billing again, the previous billing work is deleted. Some providers would prefer to edit the existing values rather than deleting and starting again.
Requirements
- Add the following preference option:
- do not delete previous billing
- If 'do not delete previous billing' preference is selected then the following occurs:
- if you click on B after a billing has been completed then the billing screen reopens with the previous billing information contained within it. This means that the billing screen that opens is the same as the billing screen that opens when you first click on B for billing, with the billing sheets in it...not the admin billing correction sheet. As discussed, this will require showing the previous billing information which is in the row of data to populate the otherwise blank billing sheets.
- Add the following preference option:
- default billing code: _____
- provider enters a code e.g. C62 as the default Dx code that appears in the billing module when 'B' is clicked
Additional Requirements
Note these additional requirements:
- The billing screen has the option of selecting multiple different billings sheets
- A user can select items from multiple billing sheets and they will all be saved. A provider when he goes through different billling screens (e.g. General Practice or Obstetrics) he can select multiple items from each page and they will all be saved when you finally save the record.
- The values from the multiple pages will be available for editting as per above requirements if the billing sheets are reopened for editting
