- Special authority renewal for dementia drugs - By John Yap
- This form highlights some of the newest features that have trickled into the e-form arena: X-boxes, ability to work inside our outside Oscar if backgrounds involved, ability to reference png files in the Oscar library or on your desktop - useful if attachments or references are needed, and not available on the web, and it's a multi-pager. Plus - I tried to get background highlighting to work to call attention to eligibility requirements (page 2), but wasn't able to make opacity change. So I simply highlighted it with a red border. The old SA form used the clinic label in the name/address area, which required more space - forcing use of smaller font - and was redundant as phone #, fax # are requested elsewhere in the form.
- Special Authority for initial coverage of CI's
- From John Y: This one is specific for BC users - the Special Authority for initial coverage of CI's. I cropped the image closer, and this allows for a "larger" image in the final e-form. The older e-forms all seemed to shrink inside Oscar, likely due to built-in margins, not controllable by the FF configuration. Dr. Page suggested long ago to crop all blank edges, and now I can see why. The only issue is the use of GIMP. I am not totally satisfied with the less than sharp background image. I'm sure it can be better. But so far, with the older e-forms, I have not had complaints from Pharmacare. In fact, the return faxes are usually of much poorer quality than the ones I send out! If any one wants to take a crack at Oscarizing the background, I've attached the pdf. This new code incorporates PHC's suggestion below. Simply clicking on a check box is sufficient to invoke the "DirtyFlag". Comments please. JohnY
