OSCAR-CAISI Toronto User Group

The CAISI Project (Client Access to Integrated Services and Information) is a collaboration among Toronto front-line providers, clients, and agencies in the development of e-integration of care, in order to help end homelessness in Toronto. The Project started in 2005 and operates through the St. Michael’s Hospital Centre for Research on Inner City Health and Inner City Health Programs.

Clients can apply and control the integration of their care between agencies that are assisting them in obtaining housing and/or appropriate community placement and supports, sooner. The community and agencies can access real-time community data (such as how many individuals should have access to immediate housing due to disability, severe mental illness, or HIV) for advocacy and more informed policy making.

The Toronto Central LHIN and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care are supporting CAISI Project initiatives, in order to help provide better care to those who are homeless, and ultimately to help end homelessness.
